S.H. Hong
President & Chief Executive Officer

S.H. Hong serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Oakland based Innovative Bank, which specializes in small business banking in communities nationwide through its extensive network of branches and network affiliates.
 
Under his leadership, IB has doubled in asset size, doubled in operational locations, and expanded product and service offerings, which has led to national acclaim. Hong had joined the bank in July of 2005 through the acquisition by its current holding company - Innovative Bancorp.
 
Before joining IB, Hong held President and CEO positions at Asiana Bank in the Silicon Valley, Nara Bank in Los Angeles, and First Intercontinental Bank in Atlanta. His 30 years of banking experience also includes senior management roles at Union Bank of California, Continental Bank of Chicago, and Wells Fargo with experiences in managing a $1.0 billion credit portfolio.
 
Mr. Hong received his BA & MBA in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, and also studied Law at Yonsei University, in Seoul Korea.  

Young Ho Won
Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Won was appointed Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Bank in April 2008 after serving as Chief Credit Officer from June 2005 to March 2008.  Mr. Won served as SVP & Regional Manager/Credit Administrator from 2003-2005 at Nara Bank.  Prior to that, he spent 13 years with Union Bank of California and became VP and Manager for Korean credits.  From 1985 – 1990, Mr. Won held credit analyst responsibilities with the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC).  Mr. Won received his MBA from Korea University in Seoul, Korea.
